, a teacher, writer and artist, practices shod艒 everyday. She is gosei, a fifth generation American of Japanese and Pacific Islander descent with roots in California, Hawai鈥檌 and Japan. Her essays, poetry and visual artwork appear in Rice Magazine, Tozai Times, Transpacific, Career Development Quarterly, Bread Loaf School of English Journal and other Asian Pacific American print and online media. The Djerassi Resident Artists Program features her work.
