The movie stars Cravalho as the title character, <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M&#257;noa student <strong>Christopher Kaipulaumakaniolono Baker<\/strong> as Maui, <span aria-label=\"Waianae's\">Wai&#699;anae&#8217;s<\/span> Nicole Scherzinger as Sina, Kelikokauaikekai Hoe as <span aria-label=\"Alii\">Ali&#699;i<\/span> Tui, <span aria-label=\"Kalehuapuakeula\">Kalehuapuake&#699;ula<\/span> <span aria-label=\"Kawaa\">Kawa&#699;a<\/span> as Puna Tala, Kamakakehau Fernandez as Tamatoa and 24 locally-cast <span aria-label=\"Olelo\">&#699;&#332;lelo<\/span> <span aria-label=\"Hawaiispeaking\">Hawai&#699;i-speaking<\/span> actors and singers.<\/p>\n<p>Members from across <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> collaborated on the project: <strong>Puakea Nogelmeier<\/strong>, professor of Hawaiian language and executive director of Awaiaulu, a nonprofit organization for Hawaiian-language translation training, oversaw a team of Awaiaulu&#8217;s translators; <strong><span aria-label=\"Hailiopua\">Haili&#699;&#333;pua<\/span> Baker<\/strong>, professor of Hawaiian theatre at <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M&#257;noa\u2019s theater department served as acting director; and ethnomusicologist <strong>Aaron J. Sal&#257;<\/strong> served as music director.
