Seale<\/strong><\/a>, assistant professor in the <a href=\"https:\/\/cms.ctahr.hawaii.edu\/hnfas\">Department of Human Nutrition, Food and Animal Sciences<\/a> at the <a href=\"https:\/\/cms.ctahr.hawaii.edu\/\">College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources<\/a> (<abbr>CTAHR<\/abbr>), received $749,815 for his project, &ldquo;Integrating Land and Sea Grant Aquaculture Research, Extension and Education at the University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span>.&rdquo; It aims to establish an aquaculture program at <a href=\"https:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/\"><abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M&#257;noa<\/a> that leverages and integrates land and sea grant research, extension and education resources. <abbr>CTAHR<\/abbr>&#8216;s Seale and <a href=\"http:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/ctahr\/nutritionPhD\/faculty\/name\/rajesh-jha\/\"><strong>Rajesh Jha<\/strong><\/a> are partnering with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.soest.hawaii.edu\/soestwp\/about\/directory\/darren-lerner\/\"><strong>Darren T. Lerner<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/seagrant.soest.hawaii.edu\/directory-detail\/?smid=32953\"><strong>Darren K. Okimoto<\/strong><\/a> of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> Sea Grant.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We intend to leverage a state-of-the-art recirculating aquaculture facility to address research, education and extension capacity needs of university students, industry producers and the public,&rdquo; said Seale. &ldquo;We also plan to develop a research program related to the aquaculture production of finfish, and an outreach program that will disseminate industry driven research information to producers and end-users.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> Sea Grant is among several national Sea Grant programs to receive funding from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.noaa.gov\/\">National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration<\/a> (<abbr>NOAA<\/abbr>) to address specific priorities of the 2018 Sea Grant National Aquaculture Initiative.
