Presentations by <abbr title=\"University of Hawaii\">糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> Cancer Center scientists on their ongoing discoveries and research projects were the focus of the event held at the center. The <abbr>NCI<\/abbr> designation renewal was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2018\/07\/03\/uh-cancer-center-retains-national-designation\/\">officially announced<\/a> July 3 as the <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> Cancer Center retains its status as being one of only 70 <abbr>NCI<\/abbr>-Designated Cancer Centers out of more than 1,000 cancer centers across the country.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We are extremely honored to be the only <abbr title=\"National Cancer Institute\">NCI<\/abbr>-Designated Cancer Center in the Pacific,&rdquo; said <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> Cancer Center Director <a href=\"http:\/\/t.uhcancercenter.org\/about-us\/directory\/faculty-staff\/2-directory\/473-randall-f-holcombe-md-mba\"><strong>Randall Holcombe<\/strong><\/a> at the celebration. &ldquo;One that has a really unique focus on the cancer problems that affect us here in <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span>.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_11512\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11512\" style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/cancer-center.jpg\" alt=\"糖心Vlog官方 Cancer Center building\" width=\"400\" height=\"235\" class=\"size-full wp-image-11512\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/cancer-center.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/cancer-center-260x152.jpg 260w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-11512\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The University of Hawai&#699;i Cancer Center<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><abbr>NCI<\/abbr>-Designated Cancer Centers must go through rigorous and competitive renewal of their status every three to five years.
