Students of the music program at Windward Community College<\/a> are honing their piano, ʻukulele<\/span> and slack key guitar skills for an end-of-semester concert series at Palik\u016b Theatre.<\/p>\n

April 30<\/strong>
\nKamuela Kimokeo’s<\/a><\/strong> Hawaiian ensemble (ʻukulele<\/span> and slack key guitar) and ʻukulele<\/span> classes in Hanauna Mele will perform on Monday, April 30, 7–9 p.m. Students will play original compositions as well as arrangements they have been practicing in class. The event also features special musical guest, Amy H\u0101naialiʻi<\/span>.<\/p>\n

May 2<\/strong>
\nThe piano concert, under the direction of So Jin Kimura<\/a><\/strong>, will take place on Wednesday, May 2, at 7 p.m. Students will perform pieces they learned this semester.<\/p>\n

May 4<\/strong>
\nRon Loo’s<\/a> ʻukulele<\/span> and slack key guitar students will perform on Friday, May 4, at 7 p.m. The theme is “Sharing the Experience,” and Loo will showcase the performances of his beginning ʻukulele<\/span> and slack key guitar students. Special musical guest artists include Gordon Mark and Pomaikaʻi<\/span> Loo.<\/p>\n
