Great for all ages!

Nanaue the Teenage Sharkman meets Jocelyn on the beach and takes her on magical underwater adventures where she meets fish and other aquatic creatures. Jocelyn’s mother is thrilled that she has a new friend. After all, when Jocelyn’s father left the family, Jocelyn began retreating into the world of books and lives a lonely existence. When life begins to imitate art, Jocelyn’s mother becomes concerned and discovers a surprising fact.

Nationally acclaimed writer and director Moses Goods brings this touching and inspired tale to Hawaiʻi’s youth, based on the legend of Nanaue. Nanaue’s father was Kamohoaliʻi, the King of Sharks, who falls in love with Kalei, a beautiful mortal from Waipiʻo Valley. Nanaue, half-shark, half-man, lives between two worlds—the supernatural and mortal. Like Nanaue, Jocelyn also struggles with real life and her elaborate fantasy world.

Show dates and times:

March 9 and 10 (Friday and Saturday), 7:30 p.m.

March 11 (Sunday), 4 p.m.

March 15 (Thursday), 4 p.m.

March 16 and 17 (Friday and Saturday), 7:30 p.m.

March 18 (Sunday), 4 p.m.

(also featured at Palikū Arts Festival on April 7)

Ticket information:

$5 Students, seniors (65+), and military (with ID)

$10 Adults

Running time is 50 minutes.
