The award went to <em>Biography<\/em> volume 39, number 3, which was the journal\u2019s special issue on &ldquo;Indigenous Conversations about Biography.&rdquo; Guest editors for this issue were Alice Te Punga Somerville, Daniel Heath Justice and <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M\u0101noa Assistant Professor <a href=\"http:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/history\/people\/faculty\/arista\/\"><strong>Noelani Arista<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As detailed in the <a href=\"http:\/\/muse.jhu.edu\/article\/643252\">editors\u2019 Introduction<\/a>, the special issue started in M\u0101noa Valley:<br \/>\n&ldquo;This is a conversation about Indigenous lives, the ways we understand them, the ways we represent them, and the responsibilities that come from doing this work in a good way. And this is just a beginning. We are honored to welcome you to this special issue of <em>Biography<\/em>, and to the Indigenous scholars, artists, and visionaries who come together in community on the topic of Indigenous biography. Franklin<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/english.hawaii.edu\/faculty\/craig-howes\/\"><strong>Craig Howes<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/english.hawaii.edu\/faculty\/john-zuern\/\"><strong>John David Zuern<\/strong><\/a>. Managing editors for volume 39 were <strong>Stanley Schab<\/strong>, emeritus editor and Managing Editor <a href=\"http:\/\/english.hawaii.edu\/faculty\/anjoli-roy\/\"><strong>Anjoli Roy<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Each year, <em>Biography<\/em> publishes a special issue that explores a topic of emerging critical interest, often centered around a Center for Biographical Research seminar.
