Artwork from Early College students from Castle High School will be highlighted in the exhibit Fast Forward at Windward Community College’s Gallery ʻIolani October 27–November 30. An opening reception will take place at Gallery ʻIolani on Friday, October 27 from 4–7 p.m.

Early College is a partnership between Windward CC and select high schools on Windward Oʻahu, providing students with an accelerated learning experience. This Early College art class, ART 113 taught by Windward CC instructor Calvin Collins, meets the same academic course level of the University of Hawaiʻi drawing standards for college credit.

Through Early College, high school students can earn six or more college credits giving them the opportunity to earn both an associate’s degree and a high school diploma by their high school graduation. This remarkable program offers many college courses from different academic disciplines presented in a variety of high schools throughout the state.

Gallery hours are 1–5 p.m., Monday—Friday and Sunday, and will be closed Saturday and federal/state holidays (November 10, 23 and 24). For more information about the exhibition and/or studies in gallery design and management at Windward CC, contact Gallery ʻIolani Director Assistant Momoe Nakajima at (808) 236-9155 or visit the Gallery ʻIolani website.
