The University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> Hilo<\/a>\u00a0women\u2019s volleyball team has been honored with the American Volleyball Coaches Association<\/a> Team Academic Award.<\/p>\n

The AVCA<\/abbr>\u00a0honors teams that have a 3.3 grade point average or higher through the spring semester. The Vulcan volleyball squad posted a 3.39 team GPA<\/abbr> at the conclusion of the 2016–17 school year. Four other Pacific West Conference schools (out of 14 total) also earned this honor—Azusa Pacific, California Baptist, Chaminade and Point Loma.<\/p>\n

“It’s a remarkable accomplishment on many fronts to win this award,” said 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> Hilo head coach\u00a0Gene Krieger<\/a><\/strong>. “They have to be very disciplined and focused to be successful on and off the court.”<\/p>\n

“A special thank you goes out to our 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> Hilo professors, who are willing to work with our student-athletes to help them be successful,” Krieger added. “This great accomplishment could not of been reached without many parties being involved.”<\/p>\n
