The University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> Board of Regents<\/a> re-elected Chair Jan Naoe Sullivan<\/a><\/strong> and Vice Chairs Randolph Moore<\/a><\/strong> and Benjamin Kudo<\/a><\/strong> at their meeting on July 20. Their term of office is one year.<\/p>\n

The board also welcomed new regent Norma Doctor Sparks<\/a><\/strong> of Kauaʻi<\/span>, who replaces outgoing regent David Iha<\/a><\/strong>. Regents Kudo<\/a> (At Large) and Simeon Acoba<\/a><\/strong> (Honolulu) were both reappointed to five-year terms that expire in 2022.<\/p>\n

Doctor Sparks is co-founder and president of Families First Hawaiʻi<\/span> Service Inc., a consulting firm that advocates for children and families. In 2007, she was recognized as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Filipina Women in the United States.
