{"id":57823,"date":"2017-03-21T09:33:13","date_gmt":"2017-03-21T19:33:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/?p=57823"},"modified":"2019-02-28T16:54:29","modified_gmt":"2019-03-01T02:54:29","slug":"uh-student-caucus-provides-free-admission-to-career-expo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2017\/03\/21\/uh-student-caucus-provides-free-admission-to-career-expo\/","title":{"rendered":"<abbr title=\"University of Hawaii\">糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> Student Caucus provides free admission to Career Expo"},"content":{"rendered":"<span class=\"span-reading-time rt-reading-time\" style=\"display: block;\"><span class=\"rt-label rt-prefix\">Reading time: <\/span> <span class=\"rt-time\"> &lt; 1<\/span> <span class=\"rt-label rt-postfix\">minute<\/span><\/span><p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/uhsc\/\">University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> Student Caucus<\/a>, comprised of delegates from each of the 10 <abbr title=\"University of Hawaii\">糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> campuses and the <a href=\"http:\/\/gso.hawaii.edu\/\">Graduate Student Organization<\/a> at <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M&#257;noa, is partnering with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.staradvertiser.com\/\"><em>Honolulu Star-Advertiser<\/em><\/a> to cover the cost of admission to the upcoming Career Expo for all <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> students with valid <abbr title=\"Identification\">ID<\/abbr> cards. This is the caucus&#8217; way of removing the barrier of cost and increasing access to the Career Expo for all students based on <span aria-label=\"Oahu\">O&#699;ahu<\/span>. The Career Expo will take place on March 29, 9 a.m.&#8211;3 p.m. at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blaisdellcenter.com\/\">Neal Blaisdell Center Exhibition Hall<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;There are multiple benefits for attending the Career Expo,&rdquo; said <strong>Kepo&#699;o <span aria-label=\"Keliipaakaua\">Keli&#699;ipa&#699;akaua<\/span><\/strong>, caucus chair and a <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M&#257;noa graduate student.\u00a0&ldquo;For students expecting to graduate in May, this is perfect timing to jump-start the job hunting. Continuing students have the opportunity to develop relationships and get a feel for the job market.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>There will be resources to assist students with perfecting their resumes and improving their interview skills. A few vendors will also be offering interviews onsite, so students are encouraged to come dressed in business attire.
