The Candidate Advisory Council<\/a> (CAC) of the University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> Board of Regents<\/a> has initiated the recruitment process for four seats on the Board of Regents.<\/p>\n

Nominations are now being accepted for a Hawaiʻi<\/span> County seat (for immediate appointment due to the resignation of Regent Barry Mizuno<\/strong> and for one (1) At Large seat; one (1) City and County of Honolulu seat; and one (1) Kauaʻi<\/span> County seat for five-year terms, beginning July 1, 2017.<\/p>\n

Candidates for the City and County of Honolulu, Hawaiʻi<\/span> County and Kauai County seats must reside in the geographic area that they represent.<\/p>\n

Application materials, procedures and descriptions of regent’s responsibilities are available online<\/a>. This information may also be requested by calling (808) 692-1218 or by email<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Applications for the Hawaiʻi<\/span> County seat for an interim appointment must be completed and received by CAC<\/abbr> by September 30, 2016 but early submission of nominations is encouraged. Applications for the At Large, City and County of Honolulu, and Kauaʻi<\/span> County seats for five-year appointments will be accepted through but not later than October 28, 2016.<\/p>\n
