It was initially expected to finish by the end of April. <\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/cls.ucla.edu\/\">University of California Center for Laboratory Safety<\/a>, retained by <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> to conduct the investigation, was unable to send materials involved in the explosion for testing until the <a href=\"http:\/\/labor.hawaii.gov\/hiosh\/\"><span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> State Occupational Safety and Health Division<\/a> (<abbr>HIOSH<\/abbr>), the government agency investigating the accident, completed its review of the accident scene. <abbr>HIOSH<\/abbr> released the materials and scene to <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> late last week. <\/p>\n<p>A postdoctoral researcher was seriously injured in the accident that happened in a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hnei.hawaii.edu\/\"><span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> Natural Energy Institute<\/a> biofuels research laboratory in the <abbr title=\"University of Hawaii\">糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M&#257;noa Pacific Ocean Science and Technology building. <\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"http:\/\/www.honolulu.gov\/hfd.html\">Honolulu Fire Department<\/a> investigation classified the incident as an accident. In its preliminary investigation, the <abbr>UC<\/abbr> Center for Laboratory Safety, considered a national leader in laboratory safety, determined that the explosion was an isolated incident and not the result of a systemic problem. The <abbr>UC<\/abbr> Laboratory Safety Team was on the M&#257;noa campus the week of March 28. <\/p>\n<p>The <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M&#257;noa <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/ehso\/\">Environmental Health and Safety Office<\/a> also surveyed the 500-plus labs on the M&#257;noa campus and determined that there were no similar experiments taking place. <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> is creating a new Chemical and Physical Safety Committee that will have representatives from all of the schools and colleges that have research and teaching laboratories.
