Roley was recognized for his vision and leadership in elevating the reputation of the Shidler College.<\/p>\n<p>Under Roley&#8217;s leadership, the college secured $100 million in private giving from real estate investor and alumnus Jay Shidler. With Shidler&#8217;s support, Roley was able to implement a strategic plan, which transformed the college&#8217;s facilities, academic programs, fundraising initiatives and quality of faculty research. Today, the Shidler College of Business is listed among the best international business programs in the nation and attracts quality students and faculty from all over the world.<\/p>\n<p>Roley has served as the dean of the Shidler College of Business since 2005. He also holds the First Hawaiian Bank Chair of Leadership and Management.
