Michael S. Bruno<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Michael S. Bruno<\/strong> has been appointed the University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at Mānoa’s<\/a> new vice chancellor for research<\/a>. He comes to campus from the Stevens Institute of Technology<\/a> in Hoboken, New Jersey, where he held the Feiler Professorship and served as dean of the Schaefer School of Engineering and Science<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Vice Chancellor Bruno holds an MSc<\/abbr> in civil engineering from the University of California, Berkeley<\/a> and a doctorate in oceanographic engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology\/Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution<\/a> in Cambridge, Massachusetts. <\/p>\n

Chancellor Robert Bley-Vroman<\/strong><\/a> thanked Brian Taylor<\/strong><\/a>, “who diligently—indeed heroically—served as interim vice chancellor for research for several years.” Taylor now returns full-time to his role as dean of the ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½<\/abbr> Mānoa School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology<\/a>. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
