Sylvia Yuen<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The board of directors of the Research Corporation of the University of Hawaiʻi<\/span><\/a> has announced the appointment of Sylvia Yuen<\/strong> as the new executive director, effective July 1, 2015.<\/p>\n

Yuen has had a long and distinguished career at 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> that spans decades in both academics and administration. She has dedicated her professional and personal life to serving Hawaiʻi<\/span>’s families and communities.<\/p>\n

For almost 20 years, Yuen focused her efforts on building and leading 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr>’s Center on the Family<\/a>, which grew under her leadership from an idea to a vibrant unit of 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> Mānoa. Yuen also served as the interim dean of 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> Mānoa’s College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources<\/a>. She was the first woman to direct the college since it was founded in 1907. She also served on former 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> President MRC<\/abbr> Greenwood’s leadership team to focus on food security and safety.<\/p>\n

Yuen has served on the boards of directors for numerous nonprofit organizations and on various advisory committees including the Institute for Human Services<\/a>, Hawaiʻi<\/span> Community Foundation<\/a>, Aloha United Way<\/a>, Honolulu Community Action Program<\/a>, and the Federal Judicial Selection Commission.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
