The symposium was done in collaboration with the University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> Hilo <a href=\"http:\/\/hilo.hawaii.edu\/depts\/geography\/\">Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences<\/a> with support from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.moore.org\/\">Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_31284\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-31284\" style=\"width: 223px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/nagata-s.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/nagata-s.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"223\" height=\"294\" class=\"size-full wp-image-31284\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/nagata-s.jpg 223w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/nagata-s-197x260.jpg 197w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 223px) 100vw, 223px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-31284\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Stephanie Nagata<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The scientific journal&#8217;s special issue, <a href=\"http:\/\/instaar.colorado.edu\/AAAR\/index.php\"><em>Arctic, Antarctic and Alpine Research<\/em><\/a>, Volume 46, No. 4 (2014 University of Colorado) contains the article, entitled, &ldquo;Losing the High Ground: Rapid Transformation of Tropical Island Alpine and Subalpine Environments,&rdquo; co-authored by 糖心Vlog官方 Hilo Professor Emeritus <strong>James Juvik<\/strong>, Institute of Integrative Biology&#8217;s Christoph Kueffer, <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> Hilo Professor Emeritus <strong>Sonia Juvik<\/strong> and Director of the Office of Mauna Kea Management <strong>Stephanie Nagata<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The broad significance of the scientific journal was that it included the papers\u2013all of which were peer reviewed\u2013that were presented at an international symposium that <abbr>OMKM<\/abbr> sponsored on the Big Island in late 2012,&rdquo;
