Blaisdell Center Concert Hall, on April 30, 2014. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/manoa-music.jpg\" alt=\"U H Manoa music performance\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-24462\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/manoa-music.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/manoa-music-260x146.jpg 260w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The program started with <em>Machine<\/em> by Pulitzer Prize\u2013winning composer Jennifer Higdon performed by the <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M&#257;noa Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra continued with Ludwig Van Beethoven&#8217;s Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat, &ldquo;Emperor,&rdquo; Op. 73 (1809&#8211;11) featuring <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> graduate student and Concerto Competition winner Xin Lin. <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M&#257;noa Director of Bands <strong>Jeffrey Boeckman<\/strong> conducted. (Full video on &ldquo;Emperor&rdquo; will be posted by Monday, May 5). <\/p>\n<p>After intermission, the Symphony Orchestra, Concert Choir and Chamber Singers performed Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart&#8217;s <em>Requiem<\/em> in a local premiere of the Duncan Druce completion.
