糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span> will be participating in Walk a Mile in Her Shoes on April 9.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month<\/a> this April, the University of Hawaiʻi<\/span>–West Oʻahu<\/span><\/a> campus community will participate in Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®<\/a>, an international men’s march to stop rape, sexual assault and gender violence, on Wednesday, April 9. The event begins at 10:50 a.m. at the 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span> Courtyard<\/p>\n

糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span> students, faculty and staff will participate in a walk around the 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span> campus, many wearing women’s high-heeled shoes or decorated slippers, to demonstrate support for efforts to stop the violence.<\/p>\n

The walk is meant to put participants literally “in someone else’s shoes” as a show of support and solidarity behind the goal of ending sexualized violence against women.<\/p>\n

糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span> Chancellor Rockne Freitas<\/strong> will offer brief opening remarks and participate in the march.<\/p>\n
