University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa women’s basketball assistant coach Khalilah Mitchell was selected to participate in the 2026 Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Next Generation Institute, a leadership development program for experienced assistant coaches aspiring to become collegiate head coaches.

Now in its fourth year, the program focuses on developing the CEO-level skills required to lead a college basketball program, including business operations, communications, marketing and personnel management.

Mitchell, in her seventh season with the Rainbow Wahine, has been part of multiple championship teams, contributing to three Big West regular-season titles, a conference tournament championship and four postseason appearances during her tenure at 糖心Vlog官方.

Mitchell joined the 糖心Vlog官方 staff in 2018 and her selection reflects both her experience and leadership within the program, as well as 糖心Vlog官方’s continued presence in national coaching development initiatives.

The institute will take place in April in conjunction with the WBCA Convention in Phoenix.
