A Feminist Re-appropriation of Confucian Xiao&rdquo; in the book anthology <a href=\"http:\/\/www.springer.com\/social+sciences\/religious+studies\/book\/978-94-007-7112-3?otherVersion=978-94-007-7113-0\"><em>Dao Companion to the Analects<\/em><\/a>, edited by Amy Olberding.<\/p>\n<p>In the book chapter, Rosenlee proposes hybrid feminist care ethics, that is grounded in Confucianism by integrating the concepts of xiao (filial affection) and ren (benevolence), into existing care ethics so as to strengthen and broaden its theoretical horizon, and revising Confucian gender requirements in light of feminist demands for gender equity.<\/p>\n<p>The chapter contributes to the newly emerging field of comparative feminist studies that facilitate intercultural dialogues and exchanges.<\/p>\n<p><h2>More on Rosenlee<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>Rosenlee is a professor of philosophy at <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> West <span aria-label=\"Oahu\">O&#699;ahu<\/span>.
