The University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at M\u0101noa\u2019s School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene<\/a> earned high marks in the 2025 U.S. News and World Report<\/em>\u2019s best online programs list.<\/p>\n

糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M\u0101noa ranked No<\/abbr>. 41 among the top 211 online master\u2019s in nursing programs<\/a>, placing in the top 20% of programs across the nation. 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M\u0101noa was the only nursing school in Hawaiʻi<\/span> to be ranked for online education.<\/p>\n

The U.S. News and World Report<\/em> best online master\u2019s in nursing programs were assessed in student engagement (30%), faculty credentials and training (20%), peer assessment (20%), student services and technologies (20%) and student excellence (10%).<\/p>\n

“This recognition highlights the excellence of our online nursing program,” said Clementina D. Ceria-Ulep, dean of the 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M\u0101noa School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene. “It reflects our commitment to providing a high-quality, accessible education that prepares nurses to lead and improve health outcomes locally and globally.”<\/p>\n

More about the online program<\/h2>\n

The online Advanced Population Health Nursing (APHN<\/abbr>) program<\/a> is a distance-based online master\u2019s degree for registered nurses who wish to practice in Hawaiʻi<\/span>, on the continental U.S. or in an international setting.<\/p>\n

The program focuses on population-level health, wellness, social determinants of health, health promotion and disease prevention. Coursework is completed online and fieldwork is conducted in the student\u2019s own local community.<\/p>\n

The 30-credit program is designed to be completed in one year as a full-time student or in two years as a part-time student. Students complete a six-credit capstone project that includes 270 hours of fieldwork experience. The capstone project is designed to provide students with experience in the indirect care level of service at the aggregate population, organizational or systems level. There is an additional nine-credit thesis option.<\/p>\n
