Four members of the University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at M\u0101noa sailing team<\/a> were named to the Intercollegiate Sailing Association\u2019s (ICSA<\/abbr>) All-Academic Team for 2023–24. Vivian Bonsager, Malia Johnson, Anna Kalabukhova and Mercy Tangredi were among the 290 sailors selected nationally for their accomplishments both on the water and in the classroom.<\/p>\n

This is the second straight year that Tangredi, a physics major, earned the distinction. The two-time all-Pacific Coast Collegiate Sailing Conference skipper sailed in eight women\u2019s regattas this past season and helped the team advance to ICSA<\/abbr> Women\u2019s Fleet National Championships for the third straight year.<\/p>\n

Bonsager (global environmental science), Johnson (communications) and Kalabukhova (English) all made the list for the first time and were instrumental in ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½\u2019s drive for a postseason bid.<\/p>\n

The ICSA<\/abbr> All-Academic Sailing Team recognizes juniors and seniors who participated in seven regattas during the season and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale.<\/p>\n
