The commemoration of this historic recognition has since been integrated into the Army <abbr>ROTC<\/abbr>\u2019s annual fall awards ceremony.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_188683\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-188683\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/manoa-army-rotc-rainey-podium-300x167.jpg\" alt=\"cadet speaking at the podium\" width=\"300\" height=\"167\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-188683\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/manoa-army-rotc-rainey-podium-300x167.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/manoa-army-rotc-rainey-podium-130x72.jpg 130w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/manoa-army-rotc-rainey-podium.jpg 676w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-188683\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Rainey takes a moment to commemorate Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>On December 7, 2023, the awards ceremony acknowledged students of the current <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> Warrior Battalion for their exceptional representation at various sporting and ceremonial events held during the semester.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> Army <abbr>ROTC<\/abbr> will always remember and honor all the brave service members who made the ultimate sacrifice that day, and the courage of those cadets who stepped up to serve,&rdquo; said incoming <abbr>CDT<\/abbr> Battalion Commander McKinley Rainey. &ldquo;We are honored here at the Warrior Battalion to be a part of the same program they once were as we also recognize our current cadets for their outstanding performances.&rdquo; <\/p>\n<h2>Cadet awards<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Hype Squad Volunteers<\/strong>, a team of cadets who attend <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> football games to motivate and show military support for the Rainbow Warriors. The recipients are: Lydia Amisone, Carlene Blailes, Hyeonjeun Choi, Anneliese Christie, Sony Cope, Desirae Dame, Sofia Diaz Loaiza, Dylan Dietz, Julie Etbauer, Carlos Farfan, Jonathan Fowler, Matthew Fucella, Nathan Khamphasouk, Kylier Kuper, Summer Miller, Braydon Mohr, Natasha Nelson, Jenoha Orias, Axel Rosal, Dominic Roudabush, Evan Shiroma, Paris Steams, Collin Van Allen, Samantha Villanueva, Cassandra Wisher and Jordyn Yoder.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Top Volunteer Award <\/strong> was awarded to Desirae Dame for demonstrating the utmost selfless service and dedication in volunteering and supporting the Warrior Battalion. <\/li>\n<figure id=\"attachment_188682\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-188682\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/manoa-army-rotc-fall-award-rosado-300x172.jpg\" alt=\"cadet is congratulated by army officer\" width=\"300\" height=\"172\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-188682\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/manoa-army-rotc-fall-award-rosado-300x172.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/manoa-army-rotc-fall-award-rosado-130x75.jpg 130w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/manoa-army-rotc-fall-award-rosado.jpg 663w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-188682\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Yailenne Rosado (right) is a recipient of The Company Leadership Award.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<li><strong>The Top Performing Award<\/strong> is presented to cadets who represent the Warrior Battalion with outstanding fitness by obtaining the highest scores on the Army combat fitness test. The recipients are: Military Science (<abbr>MS<\/abbr>) <abbr title=\"Roman numeral one\">I<\/abbr>: Dominic Roudaboush and Cassandra Wisher; <abbr>MS<\/abbr><abbr title=\"Roman numeral two\">II<\/abbr>: Carlin Wegle and Sofia Diaz; <abbr>MS<\/abbr><abbr title=\"Roman numeral three\">III<\/abbr>: Jace Patsel and Natasha Nelson; and <abbr>MS<\/abbr><abbr title=\"Roman numeral four\">IV<\/abbr>: Terrance Lowder and Mia Ruiz.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Warrior <span aria-label=\"uhane\">&#699;uhane<\/span> Award<\/strong> was presented to Evan Shiroma for representing the Warrior spirit and inspiring commitment to the Warrior Battalion.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Company Leadership Award<\/strong> is presented to top cadets in each company who demonstrate a commitment to self-growth and development and being the consummate team player. They are: <abbr>MS<\/abbr><abbr>I<\/abbr>: Cassandra Wisher, <abbr>MS<\/abbr><abbr>II<\/abbr>: Julia Etbauer, <abbr>MS<\/abbr><abbr>III<\/abbr>: Benjamin Carlin and <abbr>MS<\/abbr><abbr>IV<\/abbr>: Yailenne Rosado.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Battalion Commander Award<\/strong> was presented to Carlin Wegley as the top cadet who continuously exemplifies the Army values and Warrior ethos.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Campus-based <abbr>ROTC<\/abbr> scholarships<\/strong> are presented to cadets who encompass the scholar-leader model.The fall recipient is Matthew Fucella.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Howard S. and Yukiko Okada Endowed Student Support Fund Award<\/strong> is presented to Daryleen Moi-Tuimaseve who exemplifies excellence in their leadership abilities and qualities and demonstrates outstanding achievement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>During the spring awards ceremony held in May, all <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M\u0101noa <abbr>ROTC<\/abbr> units, including Army, <a href=\"https:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/undergrad\/navalscience\/\">Navy<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/undergrad\/airforcerotc\/\">Air Force<\/a>, take part in a joint recognition event for outstanding cadets and scholarship recipients.
