University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at Mānoa women’s volleyball<\/a> players Amber Igiede and Kate Lang were named Big West Offensive Player and Setter of the Week, respectively, after leading the Rainbow Wahine to a pair of sweeps to open the conference season. This is Igiede\u2019s third Offensive Player of the Week award this season and her sixth overall. It is Lang\u2019s fifth Setter of the Week award of 2023 and eighth of her career.<\/p>\n

Igiede continues to be a game-changer both on offense and defense for Hawaiʻi<\/span>. In two matches, she led 糖心Vlog官方 with 25 kills, averaging 4.17 kills per set and hitting at a .558 clip—committing just one error in 43 attacks. She also led 糖心Vlog官方 with six total blocks (two solo) and she scooped up eight digs. Igiede’s .420 overall hitting percentage now tops the Big West and ranks her at No. 30 in the NCAA<\/abbr>. Igiede also leads the conference in both points and points\/set.<\/p>\n

Igiede continues to climb the 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> record books, passing former 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> All-American middle Maja Gustin for No.17 in career kills with 1,120. She remains at No. 6 in career total blocks with 468. It marks her ninth overall Big West weekly honor of her career.<\/p>\n

Lang split some playing time with freshman setter Jackie Matias, but the two combined to direct the 糖心Vlog官方 offense to a .359 hitting percentage averaging 14 kills per set. Lang issued a team-best 51 assists, averaging 8.5 assists per set with a .455 assist percentage.<\/p>\n

Lang continues to lead the conference in total assists (523) and assists per set (10.67). In the NCAA<\/abbr> rankings, she comes into week 6 ranked No. 19 in total assists and No. 20 in assists per set.<\/p>\n
