The University of Hawaiʻi<\/span>–West Oʻahu<\/span><\/a> will host The Wonder of Learning: The Hundred Languages of Children<\/em><\/a>, an internationally renowned traveling exhibition of the infant-toddler centers and preschools of the Istituzione Municipality of Reggio Emilia Italy. The exhibit will run July 11–December 7 in the 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span>Library.<\/p>\n

The eye-opening exhibit will make its first trip across the Pacific Ocean, and illustrates the acclaimed Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood learning, and the core belief that the child is capable. The exhibit provides a setting to engage in discussion about early childhood education and continue the dialogue about the establishment of a quality early learning system for all of Hawaiʻi<\/span>’s keiki.<\/p>\n

The Wonder of Learning<\/em> is composed of six thematic areas—introduction, dialogues with places, dialogues with material, ray of light, the enchantment of writing and ideas and projects. These themes are delivered through a sequence of interconnected micro-places that can be viewed separately. The micro-places include seating areas, tables, reference areas, sofas and film areas to allow in-depth views of children’s and teachers’ processes, adults’ roles, working tools and more.<\/p>\n

The exhibit is co-sponsored by 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span>, Mid-Pacific Institute, the Hawaiʻi<\/span> Association of Independent Schools, Kamehameha Schools, the Atherton Foundation, 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> Mānoa College of Education<\/a> and PATCH. The Wonder of Learning<\/em> is free and open to the public during 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span> Library hours<\/a>.<\/p>\n
