The institute is designed to strengthen institutional capacity to achieve quality, equity and student engagement goals through the design, implementation and assessment of active teaching and learning practices widely known as &ldquo;high-impact practices,&rdquo; or <abbr>HIP<\/abbr>s. <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M\u0101noa is one of 29 campuses selected for the institute, which will be held virtually June 20&#8211;23.<\/p>\n<h2><abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M\u0101noa team<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Christine Beaule, Director of General Education (Co-lead)<\/li>\n<li>Wendy Pearson, Senior Advisor to the Provost (Co-lead)<\/li>\n<li>Ulla Hasager, Director of Civic Engagement for the College of Social Sciences<\/li>\n<li>Ketty Loeb, Assistant Professor, Institute for Sustainability &#38; Resilience<\/li>\n<li>Atina Pascua, Director of the Office of Civic &#38; Community Engagement<\/li>\n<li>Christine Quemuel, Assistant Vice Provost for Diversity &#038; Inclusion<\/li>\n<li>Brian Richardson, Librarian<\/li>\n<li>Amy Schiffner, Director of the Interdisciplinary Studies Program<\/li>\n<li>Sarah Widiasih Post, Associate Professor of Mathematics<\/li>\n<li>Jenifer Winter, Professor of Communication<\/li>\n<li>Seung Yang, Assistant Director of the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M\u0101noa team will work with leading experts and practitioners on efforts to implement educational change and bring effective practices to scale. The institute will focus on designing equity-centered <abbr>HIP<\/abbr>s and developing a reflection and envisioning change tool to guide campus-based efforts.<\/p>\n<h2>Campus team outcomes<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Create a comprehensive action plan to advance equity, student learning and success through the implementation of <abbr>HIP<\/abbr>s<\/li>\n<li>Develop effective strategies for incorporating high-impact activities throughout the curriculum, co-curriculum and across all modalities<\/li>\n<li>Discover innovative ways to support educators in bringing high-quality, equity-centered <abbr>HIP<\/abbr>s to scale<\/li>\n<li>Plan for the direct and indirect assessment of <abbr>HIP<\/abbr>s<\/li>\n<li>Learn how to embed diversity, equity, belonging, and justice into the design of <abbr>HIP<\/abbr>s that align with institutional priorities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Utilizing <abbr>AAC<\/abbr>&#38;<abbr>U<\/abbr>\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aacu.org\/initiatives\/value\">Valid Assessment of Learning in Undergraduate Education System<\/a> as a guiding tool, participating teams will define and strengthen processes for directly assessing student achievement of learning outcomes that result from participation in <abbr>HIP<\/abbr>s.
