Four University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at Mānoa men\u2019s tennis players<\/a> earned All-Big West accolades. Andre Ilagan was named to the All-Big West First Team for the fourth time and partner Lucas Labrunie was also named to the All-Big West First Team. Axel Labrunie was selected to the All-Big West Second Team in singles while earning Honorable Mention honors in doubles with partner Kilian Maitre.<\/p>\n

Ilagan became the first ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½<\/abbr> player and just the seventh men\u2019s tennis player in Big West history to be named to the conference\u2019s First Team for all four years. Ilagan recorded a team-best 16-3 overall record while going 4-0 in conference matches. He won his last 15 decisions in a row. During his ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½<\/abbr> career, he has been ranked in the ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association) poll for 38 total weeks\u2014including the last 36-consecutive weeks dating back to December 8, 2022.<\/p>\n

With a season of eligibility left, Lucas Labrunie returned for one last go-around. He and doubles partner Ilagan rejoined forces and earned All-Big West honors for the third time. In 2019, Ilagan and Lucas Labrunie were named as a doubles Honorable Mention selection, and they combined to earn First Team honors in both 2021 and this season. This season Ilagan and Lucas Labrunie posted a 5-4 overall doubles record.<\/p>\n

After honorable mention singles honors last year, Axel Labrunie raised his game and was voted to the All-Big West Singles Second Team in 2023. This season, he played primarily at No. 2 for most of the season. He had an 8-7 overall record while going 2-2 in conference. He finished the season strong winning three of his last four decisions.<\/p>\n

Axel Labrunie paired with Maitre to garner honorable mention in doubles. For Axel Labrunie, it is the third-straight season earning honorable mention honors in doubles and Maitre\u2019s first post-season honor. Together the pair recorded a team-best 13-3 overall record. The duo won their first 12-straight decisions of the season.<\/p>\n
