University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at M\u0101noa women’s golfers<\/a> Hyeonji Kang<\/strong> and Mayumi Umezu<\/strong> received 2023 Big West All-Conference awards. Kang was selected to the conference first team and Umezu was selected to the second team.<\/p>\n

Kang, a sophomore from Jeju, South Korea, led the Rainbow Wahine with a 73.8 scoring average. She competed in all nine tournaments with three top 10 finishes, including runner-up at the Cowgirl Classic, which was held April 3–4 in Maricopa, Arizona. Last season, Kang earned second-team all-conference honors.<\/p>\n

Umezu, a sophomore from Waimea, Hawaiʻi<\/span>, finished second on the team with a 74.3 average. Last week, she was named to the Big West all-tournament team after tying for fourth at the conference championship<\/a>. Umezu also posted the season’s best single round (67) and 54-hole total (212) at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational, held October 24–26, 2022.<\/p>\n

ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½<\/abbr> concluded the 2022–23 season last week at the Big West Championship, where it finished in seventh place.<\/p>\n
