\nThe position of dean, John A. Burns School of Medicine, is now posted on the 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M\u0101noa executive search website<\/a> and nationally advertised. Nominations, inquiries and applications are being accepted for this position. For best consideration, applicants should submit their application materials by August 25, 2023. The committee will review all applications, determine which candidates should be interviewed and present 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M\u0101noa Provost Michael Bruno a short list of finalists. Bruno will then recommend a selectee to 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> President David Lassner.<\/p>\n

The University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at M\u0101noa\u2019s Office of the Provost has formally initiated the search for the dean of the John A. Burns School of Medicine<\/a> (JABSOM<\/abbr>). A Search Advisory Committee to Provost Michael Bruno<\/strong> has been established to start the search process.<\/p>\n

JABSOM<\/abbr> opened in 1965 as a two-year program and transitioned in 1973 to a four-year program. Today, it is one of the leading medical education institutions in the U.S.<\/abbr>, with exceptional doctors and researchers who focus on the training of high-quality physicians, biomedical scientists and allied health workers to provide excellence in health care. JABSOM<\/abbr> conducts research and translates discoveries into practice, and establishes effective partnerships with our healthcare institutions and multidisciplinary collaborations with business and community organizations. The medical school has a tremendous impact on the healthcare of our state and beyond including the Asia-Pacific region.<\/p>\n
