University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at M\u0101noa baseball<\/a> player Harry Gustin<\/strong> earned Big West Pitcher of the Week recognition after a career outing in a win over Tulane University at the Les Murakami Stadium on March 24.<\/p>\n

Gustin, a sophomore left-handed pitcher, set the tone for the series with a dominant start on March 24, working a career-long seven innings with a career-high eight strikeouts while allowing just one run on one hit. He had a no-hitter going through six innings before giving up a leadoff solo homer to start the seventh, and allowing just two Tulane baserunners over his seven innings.<\/p>\n

Gustin has a 1.71 ERA<\/abbr> and 24 strikeouts over 21 innings pitched in his last four starts. On the season, he leads the team with 26 strikeouts over 28 innings pitched with a 2-1 record and 3.54 ERA<\/abbr>.<\/p>\n

Gustin is the first Rainbow Warrior to earn the Big West Pitcher of the Week award since March 5, 2018 when Logan Pouelsen<\/strong> received the honor. He is also the first ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½<\/abbr> M\u0101noa baseball player to earn any Big West weekly honor since Dustin Demeter<\/strong> was named Field Player of the Week on May 3, 2021.<\/p>\n
