The University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> Board of Regents<\/a> heard a report from its Presidential Selection Task Group which was charged with examining the logistics of a presidential search.<\/p>\n

The group’s report included specific considerations on how to proceed with both appointing an interim president who can assume office in September and executing a search for a permanent president.<\/p>\n

Interim President Task Group<\/h2>\n

The board approved that the Task Group work with Board of Regents leadership to identify a slate of 2–3 candidates for interim president for consideration by the Board at a meeting in July.<\/p>\n

The members of the Task Group are regents John Holzman (Chair), Saedene Ota and Jan Sullivan<\/p>\n

The interim president will serve only until a president is in place. It is expected that the selection process for the president will take some months.<\/p>\n
