University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at Mānoa women\u2019s tennis<\/a> player Ana Vilcek<\/strong> earned her first Big West Player of the Week after recording a perfect 3-0 at No. 1 singles and in the process upsetting a pair of ranked players. On February 21, Vilcek also entered the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings for the first time.<\/p>\n

Last week, on 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr>\u2019s three-match road swing through southern California, Vilcek led 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> to a 2-1 record, sweeping the University of California, Riverside (UCR<\/abbr>) in the Rainbow Wahine\u2019s Big West opener and then defeating San Diego State University. 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> fell to No. 18 San Diego, 5-2.<\/p>\n

Vilcek opened the roadtrip by shutting out UCR<\/abbr>\u2019s Kamya Nair, 6-0, 6-0. She followed with a hard-fought win over San Diego State\u2019s 116th-ranked Andjela Skrobonja, 7-6 (3), 4-6, 1-0 (8). Vilcek capped the week with a three-set win over University of San Diego\u2019s 37th-ranked Solymar Colling 0-6, 6-2, 7-6 (4).<\/p>\n

In No. 1 doubles, Vilcek and teammate Nikola Holmokova<\/strong> took down the Aztec pair of Rania Azziz and Alicia Melosch, 6-3. 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> won the team competition, 5-2.<\/p>\n
