The University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> Foundation will hold its third Giving Tuesday online event on November 29, reminding everyone in the 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> community that we are “Stronger Together” on this day of inspired giving to support students, faculty and research within the 10-campus 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> System.<\/p>\n

The online event is being held in conjunction with the global GivingTuesday<\/a> effort. <\/p>\n

Starting at 12:01 a.m. on November 29, 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> Foundation will open a special online platform at uhfoundation.org\/GivingTuesday<\/a> where donors may give to any fund during the 24-hour Giving Tuesday period. Donors may also call (808) 376-7800 on Oʻahu<\/span>, or (833) 846-4262 to make a gift by phone.<\/p>\n

This year, 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> will also hold an in-person Giving Tuesday event, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.,, at the Campus Center on the 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M\u0101noa campus, with live music from KT糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> and its DJ<\/abbr>s, a visit from the 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> Band and cheer team, games and food.<\/p>\n

“As we saw with the record amount raised in the last fiscal year, the students, faculty, alumni and donors to 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> and its 10 campuses are indeed stronger together,” said Tim Dolan<\/strong>, 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> vice president of advancement and CEO<\/abbr> of the 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> Foundation. “We are so grateful for all the support for our students and programs. Every gift, from $1 to $1 million, makes a difference!”<\/p>\n

Matching gifts allow donors\u2019 gifts to make an even greater impact for 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> programs. They include, for the second consecutive year, a $25,000 challenge from 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> President David Lassner<\/strong> and challenges from 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M\u0101noa Provost Michael Bruno<\/strong> and the 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> community college chancellors.<\/p>\n

Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as an American day of philanthropy and giving in response to the consumerism of Black Friday and the holidays. Over the past nine years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity.<\/p>\n
