The University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at M\u0101noa women\u2019s cross country<\/a> team placed eighth overall at the 2022 Big West Cross Country Championships on October 29, held in Riverside, California.<\/p>\n

Senior Caelan Miller<\/strong> recorded a time of 21:00.7 in the 6k race, placing her at 26th overall. Miller improved her time from the Bronco Invitational on October 15 by 22 seconds. Compared to earlier in the season on the same course for the UC<\/abbr> Riverside Invitational, Miller outdid her time by 25 seconds.<\/p>\n

“Super effort by the team today,” said ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½<\/abbr> M\u0101noa cross country Head Coach Tim Boyce<\/strong>. “The entire squad smashed their course times from September and represented well.”<\/p>\n

Senior Sophia Morgan<\/strong> crossed the finish line at 21:20.03 for 37th place, outdoing her previous course time from a month ago by 25 seconds. She also finished a spot higher in the 2022 championships compared to 2021.<\/p>\n

Freshman Keilah Wilkes<\/strong> shattered her personal best in the 6k race by 20 seconds at 21:46.7 for 48th place.<\/p>\n

Fellow freshman Ania Magdesian<\/strong> showcased the most significant jump in time by 40 seconds, finishing at 23:32.2, compared to her time of 24:03.0 in mid-September.<\/p>\n

The Rainbow Wahine will have one last meet to conclude the season on November 11 with the NCAA West Regional in Seattle, Washington.<\/p>\n
