Kaleb\u2019s Keiki Meal was unveiled at the grand opening of the Honolulu Zoo\u2019s new Kapahulu Market on August 31, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Molina\u2019s Vegan Rigatoni Bolognese <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2021\/12\/06\/healthy-entrees-for-7-eleven\/\">won the 7-Eleven healthy bento contest<\/a> in December 2021 and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2022\/04\/01\/leeward-cc-students-dish-at-7-eleven-hawaii\/\">was featured in <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> 7-Eleven stores<\/a> for a limited time in 2022. Kaleb\u2019s Keiki Meal is a slightly modified (baked not pan-tossed) version of this dish.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is an opportunity for me to get my name out there as a chef coming up in the culinary industry,&rdquo; Molina said. &ldquo;And it\u2019s also an opportunity for <abbr title=\"Leeward Community College\">LCC<\/abbr> students to create dishes for children and the community, giving back to what we have here in <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span>&#8212;a little bit of aloha.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_164521\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-164521\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/leeward-culinary-kaleb-molina-keiki-meal-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"People at ceremony\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-164521\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/leeward-culinary-kaleb-molina-keiki-meal-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/leeward-culinary-kaleb-molina-keiki-meal-130x73.jpg 130w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/leeward-culinary-kaleb-molina-keiki-meal.jpg 676w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-164521\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Leeward <abbr title=\"Community College\">CC<\/abbr> student Kaleb Molina, Matthew Egami, Chancellor Carlos Pe&#241;aloza<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The concession vendor <a href=\"https:\/\/thessagroup.com\/\"><abbr>SSA<\/abbr> Group<\/a> will be donating a portion of every Kaleb\u2019s Keiki Meal sold to Leeward <abbr title=\"Community College\">CC<\/abbr>\u2019s culinary program.<\/p>\n<p>Rus Murakami, the regional vice president for <abbr>SSA<\/abbr> Group, is on the board of advisors for the culinary program at Leeward <abbr>CC<\/abbr>.
