The Hanauna Mele Concert Series spearheaded by Windward Community College<\/a> ʻukulele<\/span> instructor Kamuela Kimokeo<\/strong>, and the Spring Piano Concert led by Windward CC<\/abbr> piano instructor So Jin Kimura<\/strong> will feature University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> student musical talent and special guests. The concerts will be held at the Palikū Theatre and all performances are free and open to the public. <\/p>\n

Hanauna Mele Concert Series<\/h2>\n

The Hanauna Mele Concert Series will be on Monday, April 29, 6:30 p.m. The concert showcases students from the ʻukulele<\/span> and slack key classes at Windward CC<\/abbr>, 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span> and 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> Mānoa, as well as performances from the Windward choir and hula classes. Special guests include Kaʻala<\/span> Carmack<\/strong> (new Windward CC<\/abbr> music instructor), Nalani Naluai, Hiʻikua<\/span>, Kamuela Kimokeo and Dennis Kamakahi<\/p>\n

Spring Piano Concert<\/h2>\n

Under the direction of Kimura, the Spring Piano Concert will be on Friday, May 3, 7 p.m. The concert will feature the barbershop quartet and HI Q (led by Windward CC<\/abbr> piano student student Bryce-William Irvine). Students will share what they’ve learned over the past four months in music selections from the past 50 years and a few classical favorites.<\/p>\n

No reservations or tickets are necessary. Ample parking is available.<\/p>\n
