{"id":161347,"date":"2022-06-27T11:11:44","date_gmt":"2022-06-27T21:11:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/?p=161347"},"modified":"2022-06-27T12:27:31","modified_gmt":"2022-06-27T22:27:31","slug":"public-hearing-proposed-administrative-rules-changes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2022\/06\/27\/public-hearing-proposed-administrative-rules-changes\/","title":{"rendered":"<abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> holds public hearing on proposed administrative rules changes"},"content":{"rendered":"<span class=\"span-reading-time rt-reading-time\" style=\"display: block;\"><span class=\"rt-label rt-prefix\">Reading time: <\/span> <span class=\"rt-time\"> 2<\/span> <span class=\"rt-label rt-postfix\">minutes<\/span><\/span><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/system-seal.png\" alt=\"U H seal in System gold\" width=\"260\" height=\"260\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-63128\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/system-seal.png 260w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/system-seal-130x130.png 130w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 260px) 100vw, 260px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> will hold a hybrid public hearing on Thursday, July 28, 12&#8211;2 p.m. (the hearing may be concluded earlier if all submitted testimony has been received and heard), on <abbr title=\"University of Hawaii\">糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr>-related <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> Administrative Rules (<abbr>HAR<\/abbr>) that streamline residency requirements and delinquent financial obligations and the update rules of practice and procedure for the State Board of Career and Technical Education and the State Post Secondary Education Commission.<\/p>\n<p>The proposed rule changes were approved by the <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> Board of Regents (<abbr>BOR<\/abbr>) and Governor Ige\u02bbs office for public hearing. <\/p>\n<p>The hearing will be held at the <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M\u0101noa Information Technology Center Room 105A on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/offices\/bor\/adminrules\/proposed.html\">proposed rules currently posted on the <abbr>BOR<\/abbr> website<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Amendments to Chapter 20-4, <abbr>HAR<\/abbr>, entitled &ldquo;Determination of Residency as Applied to Tuition Payments and Admission&rdquo;<\/li>\n<li>Amendments to Chapter 20-10, <abbr>HAR<\/abbr>, entitled &ldquo;Delinquent Financial Obligations&rdquo;<\/li>\n<li>Simultaneous repeal of Chapter 20-30, <abbr>HAR<\/abbr>, entitled &ldquo;Rules of Practice and Procedure&rdquo; and adoption of Chapter 20-30.1, <abbr>HAR<\/abbr>, entitled &ldquo;Rules of Practice and Procedure&rdquo; for the State Board of Career and Technical Education<\/li>\n<li>Simultaneous repeal of Chapter 20-40, <abbr>HAR<\/abbr>, entitled &ldquo;Rules of Practice and Procedure&rdquo; and adoption of Chapter 20-40.1, <abbr>HAR<\/abbr>, entitled &ldquo;Rules of Practice and Procedure&rdquo; for the State Post-Secondary Education Commission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Written testimony may be submitted electronically, via email at <a href=\"mailto:uhhar@hawaii.edu\">uhhar@hawaii.edu<\/a> or by U.S. mail (address below).<\/p>\n<p>Those who intend to testify may sign up at the public hearing or testify virtually. Those who wish to testify virtually must register no later than 7:00 a.m. on the day of the hearing.
