University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> Regent Randy Moore<\/a><\/strong> was unanimously elected as the chairperson of the ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½<\/abbr> Board of Regents at the board\u2019s July 15, 2021 meeting. Moore\u2019s term runs through the first meeting in July 2022, and he replaces Regent Ben Kudo<\/a><\/strong>, who served two terms in the position.<\/p>\n

“Thank you all. I appreciate your confidence,” said Moore after his election.<\/p>\n

Kudo and Regent Alapaki Nahale-a<\/a><\/strong> were also elected vice chairs. After the BOR<\/abbr> leadership elections, Kudo thanked the board members for their support and hard work.<\/p>\n

“I want to thank each and everyone one of you for your collective intelligence, wisdom and heart,” said Kudo. “I think we were truly a good team of people who were really concerned with the students, faculty and staff and the university as a whole, and I really think the university is in a better place.”<\/p>\n

The regents also welcomed two new members, Diane Paloma<\/a><\/strong> and William F. Haning III<\/a><\/strong>, and returning regent Wayne Higaki<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
