Ceria-Ulep<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Clementina D. Ceria-Ulep<\/strong> has been named interim dean of the University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> at M\u0101noa <a href=\"http:\/\/nursing.hawaii.edu\">School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene<\/a> (<abbr>SONDH<\/abbr>), effective November 1. Ceria-Ulep will serve in the interim position until a permanent dean is hired. <abbr>SONDH<\/abbr> Dean <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2021\/03\/11\/mary-boland-retirement\/\"><strong>Mary G. Boland<\/strong> will retire in June<\/a> after serving nearly 16 years.<\/p>\n<p>Ceria-Ulep joined <abbr>SONDH<\/abbr> in 1993 and has taught in both undergraduate and graduate programs. She has served in various leadership positions and has been the associate dean for academic affairs since 2016. Ceria-Ulep currently oversees the programmatic development and quality assurance of the department of nursing and department of dental hygiene.<\/p>\n<p>She was instrumental in the implementation of the <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> Statewide Nursing Consortium in 2010, the development of new undergraduate pathways to the bachelor\u2019s degree, and the launch of the Doctor of Nursing Practice program in 2013. She has participated in three department of nursing accreditations.<\/p>\n<p>In her role as interim dean, Ceria-Ulep will be charged with providing academic and administrative leadership for the school. Ceria-Ulep will lead and coordinate the <abbr>SONDH<\/abbr> academic, curricular, research and service programs, and will ensure the advancement of the strategic plans of <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M\u0101noa and <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> System. Additionally, she will be responsible for promoting the university\u2019s commitment to diversity, equity and cultural values.<\/p>\n<p>Ceria-Ulep is a proud <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> alumna having earned her bachelor\u2019s of science and master\u2019s of science in nursing administration from <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M\u0101noa.
