The issue of hunger continues to be a major challenge facing our community, affecting those most vulnerable among us, and the University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> &#699;ohana is not immune from this issue.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2020\/07\/10\/2020-uh-hawaii-foodbank-drive\/\">In 2020, <abbr title=\"University of Hawaii\">糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> employees accounted for more than $74,000<\/a> (representing 190,000+ meals) and 4,000 pounds of food for the <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> Foodbank, making <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> one of the largest contributors among all state offices. This year, the <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> Foodbank&#8217;s statewide goal is to raise 35,000 pounds of food and $150,000.<\/p>\n<p>The top five most wanted items are monetary contributions, canned proteins (chicken\/tuna), canned meals (stew\/spaghetti), canned vegetables\/fruit and rice (five to ten pound bags are preferred).<\/p>\n<p>While monetary and food donations will still be accepted across <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr>\u2019s 10 campuses, many employees continue to telework and may not physically be on their respective campus.<\/p>\n<p>Monetary donations are being accepted via the <a href=\"https:\/\/hawaiifoodbank.org\/donate\"><span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> Foodbank\u2019s online donation page<\/a>.
