These rankings are examples of <abbr title=\"University of Hawaii\">糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M\u0101noa\u2019s goals of <a href=\"https:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/manoa-2025-strategic-plan.pdf#page=25\">Excellence in Research: Advancing the Research and Creative Work Enterprise<\/a> (<span class=\"small-text\"><abbr title=\"Portable Document Format\">PDF<\/abbr><\/span>) and <a href=\"https:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/manoa-2025-strategic-plan.pdf#page=20\">Enhancing Student Success<\/a> (<span class=\"small-text\"><abbr title=\"Portable Document Format\">PDF<\/abbr><\/span>), two of four goals identified in the <a href=\"https:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/manoa-2025-strategic-plan.pdf\">2015&#8211;25 Strategic Plan<\/a> (<span class=\"small-text\"><abbr title=\"Portable Document Format\">PDF<\/abbr><\/span>), updated in December 2020.<\/p>\n<p>After being ranked <abbr title=\"Number\">No<\/abbr>. 62 nationally and <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 333 out of more than 26,000 colleges and universities worldwide (or the top 2&#37;) in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2020\/06\/09\/impressive-latest-international-rankings\/\"><abbr>QS<\/abbr>\u2019s latest World University Rankings<\/a> released in June 2020, <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M\u0101noa was ranked in the top 50 in the world in four narrow subject areas: geology (<abbr>No<\/abbr>. 24 worldwide, <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 15 <abbr>U.S.<\/abbr>), geophysics (<abbr>No<\/abbr>. 26 worldwide, <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 16 <abbr>U.S.<\/abbr>), linguistics (<abbr>No<\/abbr>. 28 worldwide, <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 11 <abbr>U.S.<\/abbr>) and earth and marine sciences (<abbr>No<\/abbr>. 34 worldwide, <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 18 <abbr>U.S.<\/abbr>).<\/p>\n<p><abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> M\u0101noa also received the following broad subject area rankings:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/arthum\/\">Arts and Humanities<\/a>: <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 172 worldwide, <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 43 <abbr>U.S.<\/abbr><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/natsci.manoa.hawaii.edu\/\">Natural Sciences<\/a>: <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 203 worldwide, <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 49 <abbr>U.S.<\/abbr><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.socialsciences.hawaii.edu\/\">Social Sciences<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/shidler.hawaii.edu\/majors\/management\">Management<\/a>: <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 401&#8211;450 range worldwide, <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 78 <abbr>U.S.<\/abbr><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/lifesciences.manoa.hawaii.edu\/\">Life Sciences<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/jabsom.hawaii.edu\/\">Medicine<\/a>: <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 401&#8211;450 range worldwide, <abbr>No<\/abbr>. 113 <abbr>U.S.<\/abbr><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>United Kingdom-based <abbr>QS<\/abbr> is considered one of the most prestigious ranking entities in higher education. <abbr>QS<\/abbr> selected 1,453 institutions to evaluate out of more than 26,000 colleges and universities for its 2021 World University Rankings by Subject using four factors: academic and employer reputation, number of research citations per paper and the h-index, which measures the productivity and impact of published work.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated the contribution of a world-class university to a brighter future for <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span>.
