The collection far surpassed expectations, as <abbr>DPS<\/abbr> leaders had been concerned that donations might be limited due to the challenges presented by COVID-19.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_133355\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-133355\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/toy_for_tots_team-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"DPS toy helpers\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-133355\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/toy_for_tots_team-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/toy_for_tots_team-130x73.jpg 130w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/toy_for_tots_team.jpg 676w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-133355\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><abbr>DPS<\/abbr> members helped collect toys around campus.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>During this year\u2019s collection, <abbr>DPS<\/abbr> offered a contactless pickup option, in which donors could schedule a time for <abbr>DPS<\/abbr> to pick up toy donations from the person\u2019s on-campus office or building. This proved to be a popular option for those who weren\u2019t able to drop off items in person. Some donors opted to order toys online and have them mailed directly to <abbr>DPS<\/abbr>.
