The fund is for students experiencing urgent financial distress and\/or challenges with their school work due to the circumstances created by the COVID-19 pandemic. Applications will be due by 4 p.m. each Wednesday with notification the following week.<\/p>\n<h2>Eligibility criteria<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>The student is currently enrolled at one or more of the <abbr title=\"University of Hawaii\">糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> campuses in a credit certificate or degree program.<\/li>\n<li>The student has a documentable temporary financial need resulting from an unexpected emergency event. Urgent Student Relief funding would, in turn, support the student\u2019s ability to be successful and make academic progress.<\/li>\n<li>Preference will be given to undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled in at least a half-time status (i.e. 6 credits for undergraduates).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> is anticipating many applications for the Urgent Student Relief due to COVID-19. Every attempt will be made to review and process applications as quickly as possible and as funding permits.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I wish you good health and success as you finish your semester during these challenging times,&rdquo; said Associate Vice President for Student Affairs <strong>Hae Okimoto<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Urgent Student Relief Fund was created thanks to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2020\/03\/23\/uh-foundation-covid-19-campaigns\/\">generosity of donors through the <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> Foundation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uhfoundation.org\/give\/giving-opportunity\/covid-19\">Support the <abbr>糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> Student Relief fund and COVID-19 research<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>See the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/offices\/student-affairs\/urgent-student-relief-fund\/\">Urgent Student Relief Fund<\/a> website to start the application process.
