The University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> Art Gallery<\/a> presents Framing Paradise: Photography and Waikīkī<\/em>, a photography exhibit that explores some of the ways in which Waikīkī has been recorded through the lens from the 19th to the 21st century. The exhibit is at 糖心Vlog官方<\/abbr> Mānoa’s Art Building and runs through December 7.<\/p>\n

Framing Paradise<\/i> features historical photographs from private collections, the Bishop Museum Archives, and contemporary portfolios by Eric Yanagi and Daido Moriyama. The exhibit investigates Waikīkī’s history and its genesis as an icon of tourism and one of photography’s quintessential subjects.<\/p>\n

  • Hours: The gallery is open Monday–Friday, 10:30 a.m.–5 p.m. and Sunday 12–5 p.m. and closed on Saturdays and November 6 (Election Day), November 12 (Veterans Day) and November 22 and 23 (Thanksgiving).<\/li>\n
