Funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, study results came from 10 geographically and demographically diverse institutions.
The top 500 universities were selected out of the approximately 2,640 four-year institutions in the U.S.
The program encompasses a unique blend of Indigenous and Western science and culture, with a core focus on the field of island invasion biology in the Pacific.
Dods is an alumnus of ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ ²Ñ¨¡²Ô´Ç²¹¡¯s Shidler College of Business, a longtime donor to ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ and former president of the ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ Foundation¡¯s Board of Trustees.
The facility is a public-private partnership between ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½, the Collegiate Housing Foundation, Greystar and the School Facilities Authority.
The challenge culminated in a “Shark Tank” style event, where the students pitched their business ideas to a group of investors, including many Shidler alumni.
The partnership with LT Ranch offers practicum students to work with youth ages 13–18 who find themselves in difficult circumstances.
Third-year ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ medical student Anson Lee was honored for his community work by the United States Public Health Service.
ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ ²Ñ¨¡²Ô´Ç²¹ placed in the No. 201–250 tier worldwide out of more than 25,000 colleges and universities in the world.
