“Like many of our native plants, the kukui tree has many uses and provides such things as oil for lamps/torch, ʻinamona (relish made of kukui and Hawaiian salt), medicinal, shade, etc.

In our 糖心Vlog官方 logo, the symbols include a globe, book and a torch. As a torch/light, the University of Hawaiʻi attracts our local, national and international communities because of the diversity of programs and services that are offered. Through knowledge and experience gained, our graduates spread their light/torch to others.”

Isaiah Kaʻauwai, Title IX Coordinator, Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Officer, Kauaʻi Community College
