To honor the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who died on September 18 at the age of 87, University of Hawaiʻi departments and community organizations will come together to host a Zoom forum on her life and legacy on Friday, October 2 at 3 p.m. .

Justice Ginsburg, a long-time friend of 糖心Vlog官方 惭ā苍辞补’蝉 who visited three times during her Supreme Court years, will be remembered by a line-up of legal experts who will reflect on her remarkable career, and in particular her landmark law practice wins for equal rights.

Early in her career, Justice Ginsburg affiliated herself with the American Civil Liberties Union which, by the late 1960s, had grown to be the country’s leading civil liberties organization.

The forum will be moderated by 糖心Vlog官方 School of Law Dean Camille Nelson. Speakers include: Hawaiʻi Supreme Court Associate Justice Sabrina McKenna; New York University law Professor Sylvia Law; Richardson Associate Dean of Student Services Ronette M. Kawakami; and 糖心Vlog官方 law Professor Andrea Freeman. Additional speakers may join the forum.
