The University of Hawaiʻi honored 29 exemplary Hawaiʻi students as 2020 Regents and Presidential Scholars. These scholarships recognize and support Hawaiʻi high school and college students with a record of outstanding academic achievement.

“The University of Hawaiʻi is proud to support some of the most amazing students in our state through our flagship scholarship program,” said ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ President David Lassner. “Normally we would honor these impressive scholars and their families in person, but unfortunately that kind of celebration isn¡¯t possible right now. So today we honor what they have done and take a moment to look forward to the remarkable difference they will each be able to make for Hawaiʻi and the planet with a world-class University of Hawaiʻi education.”

Regents Scholars receive a full tuition waiver for four years of undergraduate study, and Presidential Scholars receive a full tuition waiver for two years of undergraduate study. All scholars also receive $4,000 a year and a one-time travel grant of $2,000.
