Aloha 糖心Vlog官方 Employees,
This is a follow-up to our recent announcement regarding travel restrictions. More specifically, this will address 糖心Vlog官方’s policy on cancellation-related costs. While the travel restrictions apply to all 糖心Vlog官方 employees and students regardless of the source of funds for the travel, the cancellation policy set forth below only applies to 糖心Vlog官方-funded travel and travelers should check with their program officers for grant-funded or extramurally funded travel.
If you already have approved travel-related arrangements and the associated event or travel has been cancelled for reasons outside of your control (i.e., host cancels event, airlines cancels travel, or pursuant to 糖心Vlog官方’s travel restriction policy), then 糖心Vlog官方 will be responsible for all non-refundable cancellation costs.
If you made approved travel-related arrangements before today, March 6, 2020, and the event or travel has NOT been cancelled but you want to cancel your travel for personal reasons, then you may cancel all travel arrangements and 糖心Vlog官方 will be responsible for all non-refundable cancellation related costs. Currently, most major airlines are offering to waive cancellation or change fees through March 31, 2020. We encourage you to take advantage of these limited offers and reduce the financial exposure to the university.
If you make travel-related arrangements after today, March 6, 2020, and the event or travel has NOT been cancelled at the time of your scheduled departure, but you elect to cancel your travel for personal reasons, 糖心Vlog官方 will not be responsible for any cancellation related costs, including any out-of-pocket expenses.
Finally, until further notice, no travel advances will be approved or processed after March 6, 2020, except for the Athletics programs at both 糖心Vlog官方 Mānoa and 糖心Vlog官方 Hilo.
